Our First Christmas Together (2009)

In anticipation of my 100th blog post (which I will publish on Friday, December 20), I am doing a Christmas Giveaway!

If you are a newsletter subscriber, you will already have the scoop (and details for an extra entry. If you’re not subscribed, what are you waiting for!? Fill out your info here). I thought carefully about something special and unique I could do for one of my readers and have combined two things very dear to my heart.

The first: something handmade.

I have been a scrap-booker and craft-maker for a long time. But since having the kids I have narrowed down my crafting hobby to mostly making cards. It is so special for me to whip together a card for someone to celebrate a birthday or other holiday, making their card a unique gift in itself. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about printing Christmas Card pictures … I’ve made Christmas cards for twenty plus people before and it’s just way too much self-imposed stress that I really didn't need!)

So, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to really spend some time and make one of you a one-of-a-kind Christmas card!

What is a card without something fun to go in it? And what is a writer if they’ve never spent copious amounts of time writing in a coffee shop?! My favourite place to write is local, but I know that not every one of my followers is, so I chose Starbucks for my gift card to you. I’ll make sure there’s enough ‘room’ on a card for you to enjoy a special holiday-crafted drink. And maybe even treat someone special to one right along with you.

Now, to enter, I plan to make it super simple. For anyone that comments on any of my blog posts or Instagram/Facebook/Twitter posts for the month of December, I will give you one entry into the draw! If you choose to comment on every single post on every avenue, I will add your name once for every comment. Let’s keep it happy, positive and spread some Christmas Cheer! Speaking of spreading cheer, if you want to share my posts, I will count that as an extra entry as well!

Note: Newsletter subscribers, you have your instructions on how to count your entry for double in my December 1 newsletter that went out this past Sunday.

The contest will close on December 19, 2019, at 7:00 pm PST.

I will publish my step-by-step of creating the Christmas Card in my blog post on December 20, 2019, when the lucky winner is announced.

I truly hope that each of you knows how much I appreciate your loyalty and involvement with Anya Wyers Author. When I started the blog, I did it entirely for myself, to practice and improve my writing. It makes me so happy to see that my words are reaching each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3

Good luck!

Anya

The pictures in this post of Christmas Cards were all made by me, mostly in 2011! It's been a few years since I really put some time into Christmas Card making. I'm excited to make something special for one of you for my Christmas Giveaway!
